Sarbloh Heritage Outpost is a Khalsa-centered space grounded in Tat Gurmat principles and rehat-based living. We warmly welcome Sangat and guests from diverse Sikh backgrounds and traditions.
While personal practice may differ, all those on site—guests, interns, and residents alike—are respectfully asked to uphold the Code of Conduct during their stay. This helps preserve the spiritual focus and daily rhythm that guide life at the Outpost
1. Honoring Gurbani in Its True Form
Life at the Outpost is centered around Gurbani in its original Laridaar form, reflecting our commitment to preserving the integrity of Gurbani in its purest form.
2. Sarbloh Bibek & Food Guidelines
Residents at the Outpost follow Sarbloh Bibek as part of our commitment to purity and discipline in our diet. We kindly ask that guests refrain from bringing outside food or drinks into the Chauni, as food supply and cooking materials will be provided by us, in keeping with these guidelines. We appreciate your understanding and support in maintaining this tradition.
3. Dress Code
This is a Bana-based environment. Amritdhari Sikhs are required to wear complete Khalsa Bana. For non-Amritdhari individuals and other guests, we ask that you dress modestly and respectfully.
4. Weapons and Safety
Amritdhari individuals may open carry, provided the firearm is properly holstered. The carrying and possession of shastar must be guided by the principles of Sikhi, prioritizing safety, respect, and the well being of all community members.
5. Sangat & Behavior
Respectful conduct is expected at all times. We strive to embody the five virtues (Sat, Santokh, Daya, Dharam, Sach) in our behavior, fostering an atmosphere of kindness and respect.
6. Intoxicant-Free Environment
The Outpost is a substance-free space. We ask that all guests, interns, and residents to abstain from intoxicants (including alcohol, tobacco, recreational drugs, etc.).
7. Daily Rhythm & Spiritual Flow
Our days are centered around morning devotion (including Amritvela), followed by seva and work, and concluded with evening devotion (including Rehras Sahib and other evening Banis). Participation in this rhythm is encouraged for all.
8. Care for Land, Tools, Livestock, and Shared Space
We are committed to maintaining the land, tools, livestock, and shared spaces. All are asked to treat the property with care and respect, ensuring resources are used responsibly and the environment remains welcoming.
By adhering to this Code of Conduct, we maintain an environment that aligns with the core values of Khalsa while nurturing a collective effort to build a model for Sikh self-governance, service, and proactive engagement. Together, we move forward in our shared vision of advancing Sikh statecraft.
